What does Jobber do well?
Jobber covers a home service business from the quote to the payment. Its quotes page and pricing page (checked November 3, 2026) list these quote features: Past the quote, Jobber schedules visits, sends invoices and takes payments, which PoolQuote does not do. Jobber gives 14 days of full access to its Grow plan with no credit card required.
- optional line items and packages, so the customer picks their own add-ons before approving
- header images, image galleries, attachments and reviews on a quote; the Grow plan lists "Customize quotes with rich visuals and reviews"
- approval online in one click, change requests and deposits in the client hub
- automatic follow-up on quotes that have gone quiet (listed from the Connect plan)
Where does Jobber leave gaps for a pool build?
Jobber is general software, and its pool page is about service: recurring maintenance visits, routes, chemical readings and repairs. For a new pool, the sale usually turns on what the finished yard will look like and what each upgrade costs. Jobber lets you attach photos and images to a quote. Its quotes page doesn't list images generated of the pool on the customer's own yard, or quantities measured from a site plan (checked November 3, 2026).

Who should stay on Jobber alone?
- Pool service and repair companies. Jobber's pool page is written for you, and PoolQuote isn't.
- Builders whose homeowners decide from a line-item quote and a few photos of past jobs.
- Companies that want one system for everything and don't need pictures of the proposed pool.
Who should add PoolQuote to Jobber?
Once the homeowner approves in PoolQuote, the job moves to Jobber for scheduling, invoicing and the deposit. There's no connection between the two today, so the approved scope is entered in Jobber by hand.
- Builders whose homeowners want to see the pool, spa and deck on their own yard before they pay a deposit.
- Salespeople who send two or three options and want each one to carry its own pictures and total.
- Builders who want quote quantities from a measured plan instead of typed numbers.
- Owners who want to know when the homeowner opened the proposal and which option they read most.
How does a job move from PoolQuote to Jobber?
1. Before the visit, create the project in PoolQuote with the customer's name and address, or import your client list from a CSV or XLSX file once. 2. Add phone photos, or send the homeowner a request link so they upload their own. Satellite and Street View images attach to the project. 3. Draw the pool, deck and fence on the 2D site plan, and build up to five options from your catalogue. Lines without a measured quantity stay "Waiting for a quantity", and an option can't be published while a catalogue item has no price. 4. Publish one link. The homeowner compares options, asks questions and approves one. You get a notification such as "The homeowner asked a question · Option B · 12 Palm Ave". 5. After the approval, create the job in Jobber with the approved option's scope and total, then schedule, invoice and take the deposit there.
Worked example: one approved option, two tools
On a fictional 16 × 32 pool, Sample Pool Company's PoolQuote proposal has Option A at $60,850 and Option B, with a raised spa and LED pool lights, at $78,120. After the homeowner approves Option B, the office creates the job in Jobber with the $78,120 scope and takes the $7,812 deposit (10%) there, since PoolQuote takes no payment on the page.
- PoolQuote Base, one seat: $99 a month, for the proposal and its follow-up.
- Jobber: your Jobber plan's price, for the job, the deposit, scheduling and invoicing.
- Together: the two subscriptions added, with no data moved between them beyond the approved option's scope.
Does Jobber work for pool construction?
Jobber can quote, schedule and invoice any job. Its pool industry page is written for pool service and maintenance, and it doesn't describe pool construction workflows (checked November 3, 2026).
Can PoolQuote replace Jobber?
No. PoolQuote does not do scheduling, invoicing or job management, and it takes no payments. It replaces the quote you would otherwise build in Jobber or a spreadsheet for the sale.
Does PoolQuote connect to Jobber?
No. PoolQuote imports customer lists from CSV or XLSX files, so a client list exported from another system can come across that way.
Can a Jobber quote show pictures?
Yes. Jobber quotes can include header images, galleries and attachments, and its Grow plan lists richer visuals. These are images you add. PoolQuote generates concept images of your catalogue items on the customer's property, which are labelled concepts and are not measurements.
