Can the 3D view show day and night?
A scene product on an option sets the time its 3D view shows: bright day, sunrise, golden hour, evening at sunset, or night with the pool lights on. The sun sits where it would for the yard's location and north.
How do homeowners see the 3D design?
On the proposal link. An option with a 3D view offers it beside Today and Design, in the web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Publishing also makes still pictures from the Aerial, Patio and Poolside cameras, and the page shows those if 3D can't open on the homeowner's device.
Can AI draw the 3D design for you?
Build with AI drafts the plan from the project's photos or from what you type, and the draft shows in 2D and 3D before you keep it. It spends AI credits, and the pricing page lists how many each plan includes.
How is it different from Pool Studio?
Pool Studio, from Structure Studios, is design software for detailed pool and outdoor design, with a large object library, walkthrough videos and 8K stills, and it runs on Windows (checked November 3, 2026). PoolQuote's 3D view is lighter: it shows the design the quote is priced from, in a browser on a Mac, a PC or a tablet. You can use both, PoolQuote for the first visit and the decision and Pool Studio for construction plans.
Worked example: one design, three cameras
Sample Pool Company and the yard are fictional.
- The salesperson draws a 16 by 32 pool with entry steps and a raised spa on the 2D site plan. The plan measures 720 sq ft of deck and 96 linear feet of coping, which fill the quote's lines.
- In 3D, they drag the spa closer to the house, and the 2D plan moves with it.
- The option's scene is evening with the pool lights on, so its 3D view shows the yard at night.
- Publishing makes the Aerial, Patio and Poolside pictures, and the homeowner explores the yard in 3D before approving Option B at $78,120.
